Re: Pallance Rd Pedestrian Safety
Dear Neighbours,
I would like to apologise for the lack of communication since our questionnaire in 2021. There has been nothing to update you with, since Northwood Parish Council submitted recommendations to the Isle of Wight Council in March 2022 and have been waiting for a response from them. Our proposal can be found by clicking on the link at the bottom of this letter, or by contacting me directly.
We now have the opportunity to address our concerns directly to the people who could make a difference at our July meeting.
Cllr Phil Jordan (Cabinet Member for Transport and Infrastructure, Highways PFI and Transport Strategy), Scott Headey (IWC’s Deputy Strategic Manager for Highways and Transportation), Stephen Ashman (Service Director of Island Roads), Ian Middleton (Road Safety Engineer, Island Roads) have all agreed to attend.
Members of the public are welcome to attend. We believe that a good showing of local feeling will add weight to our arguments. The meeting of the Parish Council on Tuesday 4th July will commence at 6.30pm.
The meeting of the Parish Council commences immediately after the Public Forum, which begins at 6.30pm for 15 minutes, if necessary. This gives an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions. It would assist the smooth running of the meeting if you would advise the clerk prior to the start of the meeting of your wish to speak.
Do get in contact in advance if you would like to.
Best wishes
Cllr Steph (Burgess) Flux
